No addition, no amendment, no work of ours can improve what Christ finished at Calvary. The Reformation stood on this: sola fide, not faith plus works. Grace is not an installment plan. It is a finished transaction, accomplished once for all. When Jesus spoke those words, the veil of the temple was torn. The way to God stood open. Every person who trusts Him enters into that finished work and finds themselves justified, sanctified, and called His own.
